Gurdas qualified as a Solicitor in 2001. His area of specialisation is in commercial property matters and he has extensive experience in acting for commercial property and business clients.

Outside of work, Gurdas volunteers with the Sandwell Lions, a charity which organises fundraising events and helps support good causes. Gurdas is also an independent researcher focusing on South Asian history and culture with some of his articles having been published in Punjabi.
